Trail Crew, We Thank You!

Trail crew Thank You

It’s hard to believe; just the other day I had a yellow leaf wedged into the handle of my car door. I’ve been noticing the trees starting to change around the Pacific North West. Feeling a bit mournful, realizing that resorts in the northern hemisphere are starting to turn their focus towards wintertime recreations. If only I could board a plane to New Zealand for the winter.  All across northern latitudes, trail-crew men and women have been playing in the dirt, filling holes, and mastering berms over and over again. They have been imagining and building bridges, wall rides, and features for riders to enjoy all summer long. Rarely do these guys and gals get their due recognition. This weekend will mark the second annual Trail Crew Appreciation Day. We will be honoring those unsung ‘heroes of dirt’ all weekend long! This, the second weekend in September, is our chance to say Thank You to trail crews from all around the world. WorldBikeParks plans on pushing out photos of trail crew all week long!

Help us by adding your photos and using the hashtag #TrailCrewAppreciationDay and @ the bike park where the photo was taken. Last year was a huge success, so let’s continue the enthusiasm! Thanks to all the bike parks that sent us photos to show their gratitude. I hope this weekend brings trail crews around the world together! Raise a glass, give a pat on the back and remember if there were no trail crew, there would be no trails!
