Welcome WBP Ambassadors!!

Welcome Ambassadors

We want to take a minute to introduce our new ambassadors team to the WORLD.  We had a ton of applications come in and we are very honored to have received them all! Thank you to everyone who applied! We are fired up that so many of you are stoked on bike parks, our brand, and the BikeParkPRO app! Each ambassador brings something unique to the table from world travels to simply having a massive passion for park riding, writing, and photography.

In no particular order here are our first 8 ambassadors.  We hope to get part two out within the next couple of weeks.

Derek, a.k.a. Lampshade:

Hi guys my name is Derek, a.k.a. Lampshade. I’ve been riding bikes on and off my whole life.  3 years ago, I really got into racing and the freeride scene. You can find me every weekend at Thunder Mountain Bike Park and you can also find me at Highland Mountain Bike Park. I love riding, eating, haha, and good beer.

Devin Knopf:

Sam Hill Devin Knopf, is an Australian professional downhill Canadian mountain biker from Revelstoke BC. He was the two time consecutive UCI World Downhill Champion Manitoba Provincial XC Champion when he was 15. He won the 2010 world championships in Mont Saint Anne 2014 Yeah Bru World Championships of Traditional Grass Dual Slaloming, riding for the Monster Energy Specialized team Bicycle Café Beer League. As of 2016, Hill  Knopf has switched to racing  riding enduro and won the 2017 Enduro World Series overall title nothing he entered. In the same year he raced rode the Downhill World (Masters) Championships (course from 2004) in Cairns, Australia  Sun Peaks Resort on his enduro bike where he finished sixth with a beer.

Gabrielle LaFalam:

Gabby LaFalam, living in RI but from MA. I am a product designer with a mountain biking obsession! I Love any kind of riding but my favorite is flow. Super thankful to be in an area with such great riding whether its XC or downhill.  I’m excited to see what the future holds with biking and to meet cool people along the way.

Preston Davis:

I’m from Denver but go to college in Durango at Fort Lewis. I race enduro DH dual slalom and xc. I ride many of the lift serviced and non-uplift bike parks in Colorado including Trestle, Granby Ranch/Sol Vista, Powderhorn, Keystone, Snowmass, Crested Butte/Evolution, and Purgatory. I also dirt jump at bike parks like Valmont and Frisco. For 2018 I plan on diversifying even more and hitting every bike park I can in Colorado and hopefully Utah, as last season I was primarily based out of the Winter Park area working lift ops for Granby Ranch.

Gideon Kaplan

I have been riding bikes since the late 70s, from a Stingray (bike), to BMX racing as a youngin, to dirt, park, and street. I’m taking an extended break from Silicon Valley (almost) tech bro and I'm currently based out of Richmond, VA. Last year, I did a 25k mile trip around North America, hitting some amazing bike parks in the West, PNW and BC. This summer I’m planning a similar epic trip, riding bikes, Moto and paddling, in the Northeast, US and CA, and then heading west, where the real fun is.

Bryan Sell

We moved our family to Vermont mainly because of the amazing mountain biking. As of late I spend most of my free time either on a bike or working on some aspect of trail advocacy, maintenance, and building. I’m currently employed as a part-time trail builder and recently started as a part-time instructor at Killington Bike Park. Life is good as a mountain biker here in the Green Mountain State. Living very near the bike park helps.

David Dulberger

My name is David Dulberger and when I am not teaching 5th graders how to be awesome, you can find me somewhere in the woods. I enjoy a combination of enduro style trail riding, free ride/ down hill, and dual slalom. I believe in the no dig, no ride philosophy. So you might find me doing trail work or clean up in the Frederick Watershed (MD) or perhaps sculpting berms and jumps at the Gravity Soul Farm (MD).

Brian Ferguson

I am Brian Ferguson from Gold Canyon, AZ. I have been a full time RV'er for 4 years now, on the endless summer program. I started riding in 1989 on the East Coast in VA. and West Virginia. I raced DH for 4 years on the NORBA circuit, and got smoked by Doug Henry at the National Finals at Mt. Snow, VT. I have also ridden/ raced motocross. During the winter you can find me on a ski bikes. This summer, my wife and I are living and riding in Park City, UT. Cheers!
