SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. – Seven Springs Mountain Resort is proud to announce that beginning August 22, 2015, the Seven Springs Bike Park will open three brand new trails on the North Face of the mountain.

Serviced by Gunnar high-speed chairlift, the trails open an entirely new area to the bike park, with a significant increase in vertical drop. The existing downhill bike park, measuring at 4.4 trail miles, has a vertical drop of 452 feet, while the North Face area adds 3.18 miles of additional trail and boasts 750 feet of vertical. The expansion adds a 72 percent increase in trail miles.

“The allure of the North Face has always been the vertical drop,” said Brandon Coulter, Seven Springs Bike Park supervisor. “New terrain, new locations and new features are the fuel for the trail crew's hard work and dedication to the project. We are stoked to see everyone’s reaction to the expansion of the park.”

Keeping with Seven Springs’ commitment to progression, the trails are designed to cater to all skill levels:

•   Boy Scout: Descending down the east ridge of the backside, this trail features a mix

of cross-country single track and machine-width trail. Riders will have a chance to test

their technical riding skills as well as maintaining speed through twists and turns in the

forest. Whether you are warming up for the day or building your skills from the ground

up, this trail is sure to be a good cruise.

•  Lost Alley: This flowy trail is machine-built and hand crew-tuned. The high-speed

descent will put you into fighter pilot mode as the trail dips and swoops through the

forest across the eastern pitch of the North Face.

•  KT7: This trail is not for the faint of heart... Prepare to drop in! A steep, technical

descent with tight shoots, loamy soil and rock gardens, KT7 was built using limited manmade

features and machinery. Built almost entirely by hand, this trail will take you back

to the roots of downhill mountain biking.

The North Face trails will be open Saturdays, 10 a.m-6 p.m. through Sept. 5. After Sept. 5, the

North Face will be open Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. through Oct.31.

The Front Face of the Seven Springs Bike Park is open through Sept. 7, Fri.-Sat. 10 a.m.-7 p.m.;

Sun.- Thu. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. After Sept. 7, they will be open Sat.-Sun., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. through Oct.
