Primeval Enduro Recap at Whitefish Mountain Resort Primeval Recap

Whitefish Mountain Resort's inaugural enduro race, the Enduro Primeval, took place on Saturday, June 28. In true Northwest fashion, the weather treated racers to fog, rain and gloriously muddy trails. Twenty-two competitors from ages eight to 62 took on Whitefish's new downhill trails, as well as old favorites, in the six-stage race, which also included Chair 1 as an untimed uphill stage.

Bozeman rider Tyler Jarosz took the top spot in the open men's category with a time of 17:06. Local Whitefish rider Tom Danley followed close behind with a time of 17:56. Rounding out third place and  after a hard crash on the jump line, Ryan Porter finished with a time of 18.03.  With the fastest overall climbing plus descending time, Noah Bodman took home the King of the Hill award. Lone female rider, Lisa Curry, showed the boys a thing or two with a finish time of 25:31.

The Ender Enduro double header hits Whitefish on September 13 & 14 with two  at Whitefish Mountain Resort and Spencer Mountain. Visit SkiWhitefish.com for full details.
