Mountain Bikers Haven Bike Snowmass opening 2015

Bike Snowmass, a network of new and existing downhill mountain biking trails, is the only lift served biking in the US that takes riders on a 4,000-foot single track decent beginning above tree line and ending in the high mountain desert.

With over 50 miles of trails, Snowmass is a mountain biker’s haven, whether looking for a gravity-defying rush along a world-class downhill trail or a gentle single-track through meadows bursting with wildflowers. From lift-served terrain to cross country trails, Snowmass offers some of Colorado’s best mountain biking tracks. New as of the end of last summer, more trails were created or enhanced at Bike Snowmass including the brand new Verde Beginner Trail and the improved Viking Trail (formerly Easy Rider). This spring, the Vapor Trail is scheduled for further improvements with a tentative completion timeframe of early summer.

The Elk Camp Gondola will operate daily for mountain biking and sightseeing June 20 through September 7, The Elk Camp Gondola is also be open on the weekends through September bringing access to fall mountain biking. Big Mountain Enduro
The Big Mountain Enduro Series Presented by Yeti Cycles, is an authentic multi-stage, multi-day annual Enduro series throughout the most picturesque vacation destinations in the Rocky Mountain region The 2015 Big Mountain Enduro Series, kicking off in Snowmass Jun. 27-28, will encompass over 50,000 vertical ft. of descending world-class single track and bike park terrain throughout the entire season. Audi Power of Four Mountain Bike Race

This unique 33-mile point-to-point mountain bike race combines single and double track trails across the four ski areas of Aspen Snowmass (Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain) into one amazing course with almost 9,000 ft. of vertical gain/loss. The diversity of the terrain and the challenge of tackling the four distinct mountains has placed this race in a category all its own.  . New for 2015, participants will have the option of racing a shorter course (17-miles) that covers the first two mountains of the full route, Snowmass and Buttermilk, including the famed Government Trail.
