Pamporovo Bike Cup 2014

Pamporovo Bike Cup 2014 will be the only major international downhill and cross-country competition in Bulgaria for the year and will be held from 20th to 22nd June!

The good news is that the race is not only included in the calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI) but it will also be of the higher class 1 and is expected to trigger the interest of more elite riders!

A class 1 competition in the Olympic discipline cross-country is something new for our country – it will happen for the first time in Bulgaria.

By comments of professional cross-country racers, who were in our country last year during the Balkan championship – the track in Pamporovo is one of the best and competitions of a similar rank would be very interesting. To the delight of all of them an entirely new and improved section for climbing will be built this year - with very good visibility for the spectators, a section that will make the track diverse and enjoyable to ride.

There will be also some improvements on the downhill track – more information about that coming soon.

Competitors will be divided into several distinct categories – UCI categories for the licensed riders, bearing points for the world ranking list and a tempting prize fund of over 6500 BGN and open categories, where anyone who wishes to join the race can do so.

We expect this to be one of the best events this year, so we recommend that you don’t miss it!
