One of the best trail centres for XC riders in Europe
For me, Dalbeattie has some of the very best manmade cross-country trails available to riders in Europe. A lot of the riding here is stony and technical, but also very flowy. Sections abound that would keep people working their way into freeriding happy, too. Its just a blast - and the black sections are genuinely gnarly, too. A perfect place for most people with those 140mm trail bikes.... which is probably most of us these days!
Pros:
Great and testing XC routes - really challenging and sweet to hit right.... plus some stuff that''s kind of beginner freeride in nature, too.
Cons:
As far as I know, there''s no DH course, and no uplift - but that''s not what the centre''s about - its about km after km of sweet flowing technical and testing singletrack.
