Introduction

IT'S SNOW BIKING SEASON!!

Thredbo is a stunning alpine village situated in the Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. Thredbo offers amazing scenery and natural beauties which are nestled amongst the cosy chalets, hotels, shops and cafes of the town. In summer Thredbo is famous for its legendary Mountain Bike Park. Thredbo's long ski runs get transformed into downhill mountain biking heaven. The downhill mountain biking runs are accessed by the Kosciusko Thredbo Chairlift every day from November to May. This makes it the longest lift accessed downhill mountain biking runs in Australia, offering a significantly different experience from cross country riding.

To ensure a safe and friendly atmosphere all guests receive qualified instruction and coaching prior to accessing the mountain bike park for their first time. Our instructors also offer group and individual lessons & clinics catering for total beginners to race ready and everything in between. This summer Thredbo's new beginner downhill trail has started, offering more access to beginner downhill runs and section upgrades and changes. And it is open every day. Chairlift tickets are sold separately or as part of lessons & clinics. Thredbo is situated in the heart of the Snowy Mountains. It is an easy 5 hour drive south of Sydney, mostly on a dual carriageway with plenty of stopovers along the way. From Melbourne it takes around 7 hours via either a direct route along the Murray Valley Highway and Alpine way or a little longer via the scenic Kosciuszko Alpine way. The closest airport to Thredbo is the Canberra Airport which is around an 2.5 hour drive.
