Introduction

Each season Sälen Bike Park gets bigger and better with more and more choice of trails for all levels of rider! For starters they offer a free introduction to bike park riding to those new to the scene. Their instructors are devoted downhill enthusiasts and are keen to share their skills with you so that everyone has a fantastic experience at the park. During the introduction they go through the protective equipment, rules and safety, as well as the bike itself. And of course you'll also receive those 'pro tips' to make your experience complete. Then you're all set to head out on the Pink Trail – a new addition back in 2011.

The trail is machine-built and is suitable for everyone – from the inexperienced to the more advanced downhiller, with a perfect gradient and amazing velodrome-style corners and big jumps. Then step it up to some of the more advanced stuff – the black Sherpa trail providing a challenging technical single-track descent. In the lower part of the bike park towards Gustavtorget there is an area for dirt-jumps and northshore features.

And finally – great for introducing the next generation, in Sälen children are V.I.P. guests all year round so it's only right that they have an area for the little nippers right at the bottom of Gustavbacken by the chairlift. 'Piece of cake' and a completely dedicated kids downhill track where they can practice in peace. Sucks when that 14 year old is quicker than you though...!
