Coast Gravity Park

Coast Gravity Park /
Canada

Introduction

COAST GRAVITY PARK on the sunshine coast of British Columbia, Canada is the most highly anticipated "new"bike park in North America. It will be the first bike park to provide lift access year round! Located near the municipality of Sechelt, BC; the Coast Gravity Park is approximately 70km from Vancouver, BC. A 40-minute ferry trip from Horseshoe Bay-to-Langdale, and a 25 minute drive along HWY 101 is required to reach the bike park. With a target completion date of Summer 2014 - Spring 2015, the CGP is dependent on "crowd funding." The Coastal Crew is heading up this project. There trail building and filming prowess is world renowned! We are beyond stoked to hit up the brown-pow at CGP!

The current inventory of lift-access mtb'ing around the world has been superimposed around chairlifts which are built to optimize the ski season. Most ski resorts start at several thousand feet above sea level. This means that the snow comes early and leaves late. Coast Gravity Park is only a few hundred feet above sea level at its base, so it rarely receives measurable or sustained snowfall. Bring-on the year-round mtb lift access!
