Day 22: Bad Wildbad and even badder pictures

Day 22: Whilst the pro is away the kids will play. This morning Dan and I went off on the bikes expecting the place to be rammed with riders arriving for the iXS German Champs, but things were pretty quiet which gave us the chance to have a play and take some pictures. We started on the dual-slalom course and the northshore sections.

After this we headed for “Downhill 2″ (not the iXS course). Near the top we attempted some photos in low lighting conditions, with very little success…

• Take 1: Looks like we are riding at night…
• Take 2: All blurred and I wasn’t even going quickly…
• Take 3: Dan too slow with his trigger finger…
• Take 4: I fell over…
• Take 5: Could be better but we’ve had enough…

It would seem that it’s not so easy taking good pictures so we are all looking forward to when Tim gets back next week! We had another pause lower down the trail, where I tried the camera. Dan suggested I do a shot from further away, off the trail. So off I went in the undergrowth and put my foot straight into a wasps nest – I was lucky to escape with just the one sting on my ankle. Obviously I went straight into Anaphylactic shock, but because we’re pretty tough Dan told me to ride it off so I did, no worries!! Not like the picture was worth it though…
