San Martino Bike Arena

San Martino Bike Arena /

Perched at 4,879ft, the San Martino Bike Arena Bike Park is located in San Martino di Castrozza, in the Southern part of the Italian Dolomites. In 2013, the resort opened its cable car to mountain bikers and began to operate as a bike park in the summer. From May to the end of September, there are 3 Downhill tracks and 2 Enduro / XC trails, all located in front of the panorama of the Pale di San Martino Group.

A 12-to-16 minute cable car ride will bring you up to 7,217 ft, where you will find the Tognola DH Uno track. Tognola DH Uno is a red-line, 3km’s long with drops, jumps and wooden features. Tognola DH Uno was the first trail to be built at the bike park. It’s an exciting and spectacular line, which runs along the woods and meadows in front of the Pale di San Martino. There is a large wall-ride and several wooden features that make it exciting and variety packed. With each challenging stretch, there is always an alternate line for the beginner rider. So it is possible for everyone to ride together.

Next up is the NEW Tognola DH Due track, which offers a 2km’s long black-line experience. Tognola DH Due is the second route of the San Martino Bike Arena, which officially opened in July of 2015. This track offers more steep and challenging terrain. The route runs under the Tognola Cable car line in the direction of the Tognola DH Uno track, towards Malga Crel. The new track boasts over 7 wooden structures and a bridge to cross the road in the final stretch, adding more vertical descent and adrenaline rush for riders of San Martino Bike Arena!

Tognola DH Tre is a 2 km long blue line with easy drops, turns and jumps. Opening in the summer of 2014, it is the natural completion of the DH Tognola Uno line. It is a more gentle and flat course, which runs along the forests and the winter ski slopes. At the beginning of the trail, you will encounter multiple whoops on the first section, which then gives way to the much more technical serpentine terrain, where every year the “30 × 30 " race is held, to finally arrive at the departure station of the gondola Tognola.

At the bottom station of the Tognola cable car, we offer many services for Bikers at the Campo Base Bikers’ Village:  DH / Enduro bike rental, free bike wash, bikers' bar with special bikers’ menu and Chill area, special Après-Bike events every weekend, Mountain Bike / DH guides and instructors.
