Jiminy Peak Bike Park is located in Hancock, MA, less than 1 hour from Albany, NY and less than 3 hours from Boston & NYC. Offering the most extensive network of lift-served mountain biking in "The Berkshires"(mountainous geologic region located in western MA & CT), Jiminy Peak provides MTB riders with 1,150ft of vertical descent. Jiminy Peak - New England Resort has many activities to keep your entire family occupied. The Aerial Adventure Park has 6 levels of elevated ropes courses up in the trees that range from 15-50ft in the air. If that weren't enough excitement, the Alpine Super Slide and the Mountain Coaster can reach speeds of 25 mile per hour!
The Grand Slam Chairlift will operate for access to the lower mountain from 10am to 6pm on weekends beginning Memorial Day Weekend through mid June and then daily through Labor Day Weekend. The Berkshire Express Chairlift to the summit affords access to the entire mountain and opens July 2nd - Mid.Oct., 12-5pm Sat./Sun. & holidays. Notice: Jiminy Peak does not have mountain bike or gear rentals. However, there is a full-service bike shop in Pittsfield, MA(13 miles south) that does offer MTB rentals.
In 2011, Jiminy Resort renewed its commitment to creating new trails, re-routing old lines, and maintaining the existing trail network. The trails on the rider's-right-side of the mountain are generally considered to be technical, steep, rocky and root-infested...while the rider's left-side of the mountain has more flow with berms. Riders with wide handlebars beware! Many of the trails at Jiminy Peak are very narrow with tight switchback turns. One complaint that we've heard from Jiminy Peak riders is that some of the trails are not clearly marked. Seems like that should be an easy thing to fix.
Jiminy Peak Bike Park has hosted many races, including the POC Eastern States Cup - Massachusetts State Champs in 2014.
Open whenever the lifts are open, usually 10 am - dusk
